Post yesterday on Coolio/Gangsters Paradise threw me down the hip-hop rabbit hole, and reminded me of this gem.
This was the radio release for “It Was A Good Day”, off of Ice Cube’s amazing The Predator album, released damn near 25 years ago (god I’m old). Lyrics changed to meet public radio censorship/profanity rules, and a more laid back (happy even?) beat, as opposed to the darker/more ominous album/video release.
Bonus points for some car related lyrics.
